Welcome to our campaign blog!
We have been so humbled by the outpouring of support from the citizens of the city who have encouraged us to take on this challenge. It’s truly been an honor.
We’ve spent the last several weeks talking to people across the city. What we’ve heard is that people want change. And they want it now. We need a different kind of leadership to bring this change about. As Councilman’s, we will bring residents together around a vision for the city.
Many people have asked us about our leadership style and what they might be able to expect from us as Councilman’s. We are incredibly passionate people and we bring a sense of energy, excitement and urgency to everything we do. You can expect very bold, decisive and innovative action from us. We like to be generative of new ideas and encourage out of the box thinking to solve problems. Also, our commitment is to be very accessible. We believe that as Councilman’s, we are public servant. To serve residents well, we need to be very close to and aware of the problems, ideas and issues that residents are having.
As Councilman’s, We’ll ensure our neighborhoods will be places that our citizen love living in. Our streets and public schools will be safe for everyone. Bell can be a world class city that serves as a model for other cities with a vitality that makes all of its residents proud to call it home. Please join us in standing up for our city!

Dear anonymous,
Thank you for your insightful questions. I will answer your questions in the order you posted.
1. Once the residents of the City of Bell have voted us into office, the first thing on the agenda is to ascertain how this City has utilized its financial resources by conducting a thorough accounting. The very next step would be to start a movement to abolish wasteful spending and allocate the City’s resources in a fiscally responsible manner. We are hopeful that this would result in additional police officers and a decrease in taxes for the residents.
2. With respect to your question regarding our qualifications, we believe that we are extremely qualified to become members of the City Council. Personally, we believe we are more qualified than any other incumbent and candidate for City Council.
Hussein is an attorney and has been an active member of the California State Bar since 2003. He is a litigator and is not afraid to step on other people’s toes to accomplish a goal and be the voice of his constituents. Moreover, we are truly committed to becoming the people’s voice and further the constituent’s interests. As City Council members, our desire to lead the City is motivated by making the City of Bell a great city, not serving our own agenda.
Ali has successfully managed his own business, both domestically and internationally. He was a volunteer for the Bell Police Department and has been actively involved in local politics for over 10 years. Based on his business experience Ali will work diligently to bring more businesses into the city of Bell thereby creating jobs for our residents.
3. As we explained in the prior paragraph, Hussein is an attorney and has been licensed to practice since 2003. In addition, he also has a Bachelor’s degree in political science. He has the requisite training and experience to lead and, more importantly, to advance the interests of the City of Bell, not his personal agenda.
Ali is a graduate of Bell High School and has successfully managed his family business since graduation. He also owns successful businesses in the southeast area.
We would like to note that other candidate campaign on grounds that they have more “experience” than the other candidates. However, this “experience” has not resulted in any tangible changes. Better stated, what has the current City Council done in the past few years? It is time for a change and time to hear the people’s voices.
4. Unlike our campaign, most of the other candidates have not provided a public forum where they have made their positions known to the residents.
5. Unfortunately, no public debate is scheduled. However, we would love to participate in a public debate if we can get the candidates to agree.
6. Ask more questions, be informed and spread the word!
7. We would be more than happy to give out campaign advertisements; email us and we can make an arrangement to have items delivered to you.
Thanks again for your comments. We look forward to serving your interests in the very near future.
All the best,
Hussein A. Chahine, Esq.
